wineryIQ is made by a small team at Nearly OK Software. Write to us, and a person answers.

Write to us

wineryiq@nearlyok.com

We read every message ourselves and usually answer within a few days. Tell us what you were doing and what happened instead, and if a particular winery or label is involved, name it — that is usually enough to find the problem.

It helps to say which iPhone you have and which version of the app, from Settings › About in wineryIQ.

Before you write

If Near Me finds nothing, check that Location is allowed for wineryIQ in iOS Settings — and widen the radius, since some regions are genuinely sparse. If the camera will not open, check Camera permission in the same place. If your lists look out of date on a second device, make sure both are signed into the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive on.

Labels are read on your phone, not sent anywhere, so scanning works offline — but a label in an unusual typeface may need correcting by hand, and you can always type the details yourself. Wineries missing from the catalogue can be added, and they stay in your copy. Your lists and preferences sync through your own iCloud account.

The Help page explains every part of the app, and how to talk to it with Siri.

A winery that is wrong or missing

The catalogue is kept by hand. If a winery is missing, has closed, or is listed with the wrong details, write to us with its name and town and we will put it right. You can add a missing winery yourself in the app meanwhile; it stays in your copy.

The wineryIQ newsletter

An occasional note from the people who make wineryIQ: when the catalogue grows into a new region, when something worth using ships, and when we find a winery worth the detour. Never more than quarterly, and your address is never passed on.

Who makes it

wineryIQ is made by Nearly OK Software. Nothing you put into the app is sent to us: your cellar, your ratings and your Taste Match live on your iPhone, and your favorites in your own iCloud account.

Our Privacy page says exactly what the app keeps, where, and what leaves your iPhone.
